Dr. Agustin B. Mego is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with over 20 years of experience caring for patients in the Rio Grande Valley. He is a graduate of the Universidad de Montemorelos School of Medicine and is affiliated with several hospitals across the McAllen area.
Dr. Mego provides comprehensive care in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Hospital Medicine, with a focus on preventive health and long-term wellness. He is known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and his dedication to building lasting relationships with individuals and families.
Whether treating acute conditions, managing chronic illnesses, or guiding patients toward healthier lifestyles, Dr. Mego’s goal is to help every patient live a fuller, healthier life.
Ruben Rocha, NP
Family Medicine
Ruben Rocha brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience to Dr. Mego Emmanuel Clinics, starting his career as an EMT/Paramedic in 1994 before becoming a Registered Nurse in 2000 and earning his Nurse Practitioner license from Walden University in 2018.
With seven years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Ruben has developed a deep passion for patient care. He enjoys connecting with patients and their families, providing compassionate support, and helping them make meaningful strides toward better health.
Although new to the clinic, Ruben is excited to continue growing with the team and is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of every patient he serves.
Cynthia Rodriguez, PA
Family Medicine & Aesthetic Services
Cynthia Rodriguez is a highly experienced Physician Assistant who has been practicing for 17 years. She earned her degree from the University of Texas–Pan American in 2008 and has been an essential member of Dr. Mego Emmanuel Clinics for the past 5 years.
Cynthia is passionate about helping patients take control of their health, with a special focus on managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and supporting weight loss goals. She finds great fulfillment in seeing patients gain confidence as their health improves.
In addition to family medicine, Cynthia also has a strong interest in aesthetic services, helping patients look and feel their best through personalized treatments.
Everika Martinez, NP
Family Medicine
Everika Martinez is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping others live healthier lives. She began her nursing career in 2015 and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2021.
Everika has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for 3 years, all with Dr. Mego Emmanuel Clinics, where she is valued for her compassionate care and commitment to patient wellness.
Her favorite part of the job is seeing the positive impact of her care—helping patients improve their health and witnessing their joy and confidence grow as a result.
Crisela Pate, NP
Family Medicine
Crisela Pate is an experienced Nurse Practitioner with 18 years in nursing and 8 years as a Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTRGV Brownsville and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University.
For the past 3 years, Crisela has been a valued member of Dr. Mego Emmanuel Clinics, where she is passionate about forming lasting relationships with patients and their families. She enjoys caring for individuals through all stages of life, learning their health goals, concerns, and values, and tailoring care to meet both immediate and long-term needs.
Crisela finds it deeply rewarding to provide compassionate care that helps patients feel heard, supported, and empowered on their healthcare journey.
Jazmin Alaniz, FNP-C

Jazmin Alaniz, FNP-C earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. With six years of experience in the medical field, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families of all ages.
Jazmin's favorite part of being a healthcare provider is building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve healthier, happier lives. She is committed to listening to each patient's needs, providing personalized treatment plans, and empowering them to take an active role in their health and well-being.
Tania Fabian, PA-C

Tania Fabián-Navarrete, PA-C earned her Physician Assistant degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. With three years of clinical experience, she is committed to delivering compassionate, personalized care to patients of all ages.
Tania enjoys building lasting relationships with her patients and believes that understanding each individual's unique needs is the foundation of exceptional healthcare. Her goal is to help every patient become the healthiest version of themselves by providing evidence-based care, education, and ongoing support throughout their wellness journey.
Gabriela Medina, LVN
Gabriela Medina, LVN graduated from Rio Grande Valley College and has been a Licensed Vocational Nurse for the past seven years. She is passionate about helping clients become healthier, happier versions of themselves through personalized care and treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique goals.
Gabriela's favorite part of working at The Recovery & Weight Loss Center is building meaningful relationships with her clients and supporting them throughout their wellness journey. She believes that while health can't be bought, it can be protected and improved with the right guidance and commitment. Helping people regain their confidence, improve their daily lives, and feel like the best version of themselves is what motivates her every day. She feels truly blessed to use her compassion, patience, and dedication to provide every client with personalized, empathetic care.
